How Successful Realtors Work With Virtual Assistants
A realtor’s job can be hectic and busy as they have to do all the administrative work, marketing, customer relations, business management, and sales. Some tools and CRM’s can help them manage the job. However, hiring a virtual assistant can reduce the time they spend on admin tasks. VA’s can also reduce overhead and administrative costs.
In a LinkedIn live stream interview with Kevin Amoroso, an expert in Real Estate field from The Maverick Home Group based in Southwest Florida, he provided his viewpoint on how VAs have helped increase his team’s productivity and quality of work. He said “VAs has been a big part of my career from the beginning in helping with my workflow, helping with my scheduling, helping with timing. In this business, timing is everything and having a great support system is essential for us as real estate agents. As little as we know, having a great support staff is so key.”
“Many of us come into this business and we don’t know that we have to be administrators as well as entrepreneurs in our own business to start with so having a VA who is very capable of helping us maneuver through the things that we need to maneuver through.”
Kevin has a total of 3 virtual assistants, two VAs for social media and one ISA VA that greatly helps him and the team with their performance and sales.
As for growing pains when he started working with VAs and the adjustments he needs to go through, he said “Honestly, I am an easy-going guy, and we all build blocks differently. That’s something I say all the time. For me, I kind of allow people to find themselves in what we’re doing. I had to transition from VA to VA twice, and I’ve had the opportunity to work with VA’s where I can simply articulate exactly what I want…I think it’s just pretty much that first getting to know each other…that dance that we kind of go through at the beginning. It’s typically some of the most growing pains that we will go through.”
Meanwhile, Kevin said that he does not focus on the myths of having a VA. He said that he has such great relationships with the people he worked with as they are easy to work with, very easy to communicate with. “The customer service is ridiculously friendly… ‘You will find some bad apples no matter where you go, but for the most part, working with VAs, especially with virtual assistants from EVA (Emergent Virtual Assistants)…you get top of the line because it’s not as if we’re just letting everybody in. With EVA, there’s a great structure of the way people are letting in and I like that about EVA. The culture that I believe I’ve walked into is great”.
If you’re wondering how and where you can start working with VAs Kevin’s advice is “Do your homework. Know everything that you need to know about entering into a relationship with a virtual assistant company. Take the opportunity to become that person where you can teach someone else different parts of your business to help you grow.”
